Anniversary Celebration

The FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County is dedicated to fighting hunger that touches nearly 40,000 children, seniors, and adults in our community. By providing nutritious food at no cost to County residents in need, we're promoting a healthy place to live, work, and prosper for all.

Our Food. Our Table. Our Piece of the World. was conceptualized around October's World Food Day, with the goal of recognizing hunger as a global humanitarian issue while bringing focus to the work that the FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is doing on a local level to end hunger.

Celebrate 40 years of serving Waukesha County residents with a wonderful evening of global cuisine. There will be something for everyone's taste as our menu will feature regionally inspired recipes from around the world. After you help yourself to our global menu, we will begin our program hosted by County Board Supervisors Paul Decker and Christine Howard. To honor 40 years of service to the Waukesha County Community, the FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County has established two recognition awards which will be presented for the first time during the 40th anniversary celebration.

The David Helling, M.D. Award has been created to memorialize Dave Helling, the first president of the FOOD Pantry, and will be presented in recognition of exceptional support to our organizaiton. The inaugural award will be presented to:

THE FOUNDERS OF THE FOOD PANTRY.

The Judy Cesarec Volunteer Award has been established to recognize outstanding volunteers who have forwarded the FOOD Pantry's mission. In April of 2018, Associate Director Judy Cesarec retired from the FOOD Pantry after 19 years of service. This award honors her years of dedication to the FOOD Pantry's mission. The inaugural award will be presented to:

ROSE EMANUELE & BOB RUEKERT.

The evening will conclude with a live auction to help us reach our fundraising goal of $75,000.
