Donate Food

Donating food is the most direct method of supporting the Food Pantry’s mission. A good rule of thumb for donating is: if you’d serve it, we want it. We handle all types of perishable and non-perishable foods, but here is a shortlist of items we look for the most and the times we accept them.

Donation Hours

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional evening hours: Thursday, 5:00 PM to  8:00 PM
Saturday, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM

The FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County will be closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Saturday before Easter
  • Memorial Day (Saturday & Monday)
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day (Saturday & Monday)
  • Thanksgiving (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday)
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

The FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County will close when schools in the Waukesha School District are closed due to inclement weather.

Preferred Food Items

  • Canned fruit (in Water or its own Juice)
  • Canned protein (tuna, chicken, ham, Spam)
  • Canned vegetables
  • Cereal
  • Boxed meals, macaroni & cheese
  • Pasta and sauces
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Soup
  • Cooking oil

Special Diet Program

  • Low-sodium soups
  • No- or low-sugar items
  • Powdered sugar free drink mixes
  • Soy or rice milk

Infant and Toddler Needs

  • Formula (regular and soy-based), especially Good Start® formula
  • Stages 1, 2, and 3 baby food
  • Diapers (particularly size 3 or larger)
  • Baby powder and diaper rash cream
  • Baby wipes
