Make a lasting impact in Waukesha County by contributing to the many types of charitable opportunities we have available at The FOOD Pantry.
Donating food and volunteering are critical to helping our clients on the front lines, but monetary donations are an enormous help to our staff behind the scenes. The money we collect purchases meals, provides us with the proper equipment, and covers our operational costs. It also gives our staff time and resources to build upon our mission and vision.
Donate to the Endowment Fund
An endowment fund was established in partnership with Waukesha County Community Foundation to ensure the Food Pantry provides assistance for years to come. When you give to The Food Pantry’s endowment fund we use those gifts to accomplish our mission by investing in our future.
There are numerous giving opportunities, and several of them have additional benefits to you, as well as our organization and your community.
Charitable Gift Annuity
Giving to The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County could increase your cash flow. In exchange for your gifts of cash, assets and/or securities, we will guarantee you lifetime annuity payments, and you will receive several tax advantages along the way.
Charitable Remainder Trust
With a gift of an asset to The Food Pantry Serving Waukesha County, you can receive income for a lifetime or a fixed period of time, claim a current tax deduction and make a future gift to The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County.
Charitable Lead Trust
A Charitable Lead Trust is often set up in a will, with your estate making annual payments to a charity for a fixed amount of money over a fixed amount of time. If the interest rate of your assets beats the rate of your giving, then your contribution will actually make money. Then, at the duration of the trust, the remaining assets go straight to a named beneficiary free from estate tax.
A bequest is a gift of assets named to an individual or organization contained in a will. There are two types of bequests we accept: restricted and unrestricted.
Restricted Charitable Bequests require us to use the assets given in whatever way the donor specifically requested. Unrestricted Charitable Bequests give us control over the use of the gift and allow us to fill areas of greatest need.
We ask that you make unrestricted bequests or broadly define your restricted bequest, so we can maximize your contribution.
