Giving Thanks to our Many Supporters
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
November is a time of gratitude, reflection, and community. At The FOOD Pantry, we are deeply thankful for the staff, volunteers, organizations, and individuals who help us fulfill our mission of providing food, hope, and dignity to our clients. The FOOD Pantry thrives because so many caring people contribute their time, talent, and resources to support our work.
Volunteers
Our volunteers are the heart of our organization—they are the reason we are able to serve our clients each and every day. During the past fiscal year (October 2024 – September 2025), nearly 1,050 volunteers donated more than 28,000 hours of their time to The FOOD Pantry. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work make all the difference in ensuring our neighbors have access to nutritious food and a welcoming space.
Staff
Behind the scenes, our 10 dedicated staff members keep everything running smoothly. They manage communication, fundraising, food drives, ordering and unloading deliveries, scheduling volunteers, and supporting clients. These essential tasks require organization, creativity, and empathy. We are so grateful for our staff’s commitment to making client, volunteer and donor interaction one of kindness and respect.
Congregations
Many religious groups share our mission of feeding the hungry and caring for our community. Their advocacy, food drives, fundraisers and volunteer efforts are a vital part of our success. We are thankful for their continued partnership.
Schools
Students bring boundless energy and generosity to our mission. Whether organizing food drives or volunteering, their enthusiasm and empathy inspire us all. Their actions remind us that the next generation understands the importance of caring for others.
Karen and Dick Vaughn
We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity of Karen and Dick Vaughn, whose remarkable gift of $3.5 million will help secure the future of The FOOD Pantry. Of their contribution, $1 million will establish an endowment to generate ongoing operational support, while $2.5 million will establish a strong foundation to support a new facility to meet the growing needs of our community. Their vision and support of our organization will have a lasting impact for years to come.
As we look ahead to the holiday season, we extend heartfelt thanks to all who make our work possible. Together, we continue to build a community where everyone has access to food, hope, and dignity.
