We extended an offer to Lyndsay Johnson, a 14 year volunteer at The Food Pantry, and she has accepted the Executive Director role.
The Executive Director (ED) is a dynamic and dedicated leader who is responsible for oversight of all operations of the FPWC with the primary task of carrying out the mission and vision of the FPWC. The ED serves as the organization’s chief executive and represents the organization to the public. They make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding organizational plans and policies. The ED plans and directs organizational objectives according to the Board of Directors’ wishes and the agency’s by-laws.
It is with mixed emotions that the Board of Directors of The Food Pantry Serving Waukesha County announces the retirement of Karen Tredwell, Executive Director, effective July 1, 2023. Karen has led the charge to alleviate hunger in Waukesha County for more than 25 years.
The FOOD Pantry has multiple grocery distribution options to safely serve the community.

The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County presents our first virtual experience!
The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is collecting feedback from those we serve about how the pandemic has affected them, their satisfaction with service at The FOOD Pantry, and their satisfaction with the food provided during services.
Beginning Monday, November 30, The FOOD Pantry evening service hours will move from Thursdays to Mondays.
No contact service at The FOOD Pantry will continue in the fall with the additional option of online ordering.
The FOOD Pantry has been serving on the front lines providing free food to people in need in Waukesha County for more than 41 years. It is our goal to continue to do so while observing some additional practices and responses due to the possibility of COVID 19.
The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is honored to be a recipient of the proceeds from 2 of the largest food drives in the country: The Boys Scouts’ Scouting for Food Drive in March and the Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Drive in May.
Now through March 14, the Waukesha County Community Foundation is proud to again host Waukesha County Provides, a fundraising initiative founded in 2016 to support our four county-wide basic needs agencies: The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County, Hebron House of Hospitality, Hope Center, and The Women’s Center.
Local HUSCO employees participated in an autumn community service day. A group of volunteers cleaned up and beautified the FOOD Pantry grounds.
The FOOD Pantry recently partnered with the Milwaukee Wave Indoor Soccer Team for a princesses and superheroes themed soccer game.
The partnership with the three other agencies in the Waukesha County Provides day of is giving is so special because it shows that by working together each of us can do so much more to make our community stronger and better.
