Princesses & Superheroes Add a Current of Electricity to a Milwaukee Wave Game
The FOOD Pantry recently partnered with the Milwaukee Wave Indoor Soccer Team for a princesses and superheroes themed soccer game. Attendees were encouraged to wear costumes during the family themed event.
The FOOD Pantry recruited their long-time superhero Current Electric as their partner for the event. Current Electric generously donated a block of Wave game tickets to La Casa de Esperanza so that children from their Early Education Program could attend the game along with their families.
For every ticket purchased in the name of the FOOD Pantry the Wave donated $5 to them. Game attendees who brought two non-perishable food donations to the game received a voucher to attend another game. A total of 711 pounds of food was collected.
The FOOD Pantry would like to thank everyone who attended as well as the Milwaukee Wave and Current Electric for their ongoing support.
