Everybody Knows The Bird Is The Word This Holiday Season

Providing a Thanksgiving turkey for every household that the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County serves is a tradition that has gone on for many years. The FOOD Pantry received a grand total of 26,268 pounds of turkeys this holiday season. For the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, in addition to the regular nutritious groceries that are distributed, families are also receiving a turkey and the fixings for a celebratory meal. Eleven hundred families received the ingredients necessary to have their own Thanksgiving meal. And there are still birds to keep the freezer stocked for Christmas!
